Mohamed Ikhlas Mushtaq Ahmed Farid (M.I. Farid), DTM
 M.I. Farid is a Charter member and Founder President of ICC-ONE Toastmasters Club. During his tenure as President [2002-2003] of the Indian Cultural Center (ICC), he founded ICC-ONE Toastmasters on 28th February 2003.
He is a very competent speaker and has completed the necessary prerequisites for and has been awarded the Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) Award by Toastmasters International..
He has been a career finance professional (Chartered Accountant) for the past 30 plus years and has worked with companies both in India and Doha. He heads the Finance and Administration of a leading group of companies based in Doha.
Quoting M.I. Farid, "The ICC-ONE Toastmasters has taught me a lot and helped me immensely in how to effectively and constructively interact with people. It has taught me to listen to people patiently, improve my vocabulary, improve my presentation, improve my composition, taught me not only to evaluate others but to evaluate myself, increase my confidence, improve my interaction with people, improve my social skills, etc., etc. and made me a better person."
He plays an active role in various Toastmasters Club activities in Qatar. After he attended the GTAC 2004 in Kuwait he felt the need to conduct a similar competition for Toastmasters in Qatar. He did this by organizing the first 'ICC-ONE INTER CLUB COMPETITION 2004'. This has become an annual event, the last being the 'IV IBQ Communicator Awards 2009'.
M.I. Farid has many other 'FIRSTS' to his credit. He is a;
Founder member of Doha Chapter of Chartered Accountants of India and has been a Chairman of the Chapter.
Founder Member of Indian Cultural Centre and has been its President from 2003-2005.
Founder Member of Indian Community Benevolent Fund
Founder member of Ideal Indian School and has served in the schools Managing Committee for eight years.
Founder member & President of DPS - Modern Indian School. (2005 - 2007)
Founder of the Qatar Veterans’ Cricket League
M.I. Farid is a keen sportsman and his love for outdoor sports can be seen by his love for Cricket, India's favorite sport. His passion for cricket has driven him to work for the development of the game in Qatar.
His various contributions towards cricket in Qatar include:

Starting 'B' Division for 'Hard Ball' cricket
Starting Qatar veterans 'Soft Ball' league

In 2005 M.I. Farid was awarded the 'M. Kanjani, ICBF Award' in recognition of his manifold services to the Indian community in Qatar over many years.
 He was an active Coordinator & a Contest Chairperson of the highly successful DTAC DOHA 2007. He was also the Coordinator for Toastmasters International President DTM Johnny Uy’s visit to Doha.
He was the Division E Governor-District 79 of Toastmasters International for the year 2007-2008.
He is the current District 79 Treasurer. (2009 - 2010)
In November 2009 he performed Hajj and since is sporting a new look.
